Have you heard of MoodleCloud?

Created by Moodle HQ, MoodleCloud is designed for educators, trainers or anyone who needs an online learning environment to teach a class or facilitate learning in any situation.

MoodleCloud allows educators to create courses easily using simple editing settings. This enables them to display materials in a format best suited to the needs of their learners.

Are you thinking about getting your own free MoodleCloud site to explore? Or perhaps you want to trial your MoodleCloud site with your learners? Maybe you already have a free MoodleCloud site (Moodle for School) but are unsure whether to upgrade to a paid package?

MoodleCloud can help educators create an engaging and interactive learning environment, but don’t just take our word for it!

Personal recommendation is often what convinces us most to make a move, and so if you’re looking to sign up to MoodleCloud, you might be interested in the experiences of Israeli Moodler, Meir Gabay who spoke to us recently.

Moodle HQ: Hi Meir – thanks very much for sharing your story. Could you tell us a little about how you got started?

Meir: I created my MoodleCloud website for free without any expectations, and after one week I had 50 students registered to my Moodle so I had to upgrade to the “Mini” package.

Moodle HQ: How easy did you find that process?

Meir: It took 2 minutes for the site to upgrade. What’s more, the website also gets automatically updated with each version without me even noticing. Everything works super fast and super smooth. This MoodleCloud service is amazing! When I have over 100 students, I’m sure that I’ll upgrade to the next package.

Moodle HQ: That’s good to hear. How are you using your site? Do you have tips you can offer?

Meir: I use Google Drive to host my documents, files and videos. And I’m uploading users using ‘Cohorts’. Then I use the ‘Enrol cohort’ rule in my courses to put them into groups.

Moodle HQ: Thanks for sharing your MoodleCloud experiences with us, Meir. We wish you lots more successful moodling in the future!
