We test out a new Accessibility MOOC: Inclusive Online Course Design

July 6, 2017

Moodlers, you all know how much we love learning here! It is also, after all, one of our values.

Well, so many of us in the community have been enjoying learning through our current Learn Moodle MOOC 3.3 (we are near end of week 3 now) and of course, when we have an opportunity to learn more, we jump into it.

So, that’s what our very own Community Educator, Mary Cooch, and Community Manager, Helen Foster did, when they participated as students in the “Accessibility MOOC: Inclusive Online Course Design”, designed and facilitated by University of Montana’s Aaron Page and Marlene Zentz.

This MOOC aims to support more inclusive learning environments by showing how to deliver more accessible course content to their students.

We are looking forward to using we have learnt from this MOOC to make our own upcoming Learn Moodle MOOC 3.4 more accessible.

Want to find out how you can participate in the MOOC and what to expect when you join in? Find out more from Mary as she highlights her experience in her blog post.

PS: You can also see the Accessibility MOOC: Inclusive Online Course Design being showcased by Aaron and Marlene, at the MoodleMoot US 2017 – New Orleans, 25-27 July.
