Take your first steps with Moodle
Our Learn Moodle Basics MOOC enables participants to learn how to use Moodle for teaching in a school, university, workplace or out of personal interest. It is a completely hands-on MOOC where you’ll get your own, ready-to-use practice course to implement step by step everything you learn: from setting up your course and learning the various ways to enrol students into Moodle, to adding materials and creating activities, to tracking progress and grading Moodle assignments.

Enjoy the guidance of Moodle HQ’s Education Team
If you’ve never taught online before or used Moodle, this online course may seem a bit daunting. That’s why in our Learn Moodle Basics MOOC you’ll have the guidance of Moodle HQ’s Mary Cooch and Helen Foster, who facilitate the course and will be with you during the 4 weeks, as well as the support from experienced volunteer Moodle users from all around the world. These Moodlers lend a hand in the course Forums, often in various languages; so if you’re not an English-speaker, you can get help in your language as well.

Our Education team has designed the Learn Moodle Basics MOOC for anyone who wants to learn how to teach with Moodle. However, if you have a different role you can also learn valuable insights. Whether you’re a developer, a Moodle Admin or an instructional designer, Learn Moodle Basics will give you an idea of how educators and students use and interact with Moodle. If you have been using Moodle for some time, joining the Learn Moodle MOOC will enable you to experience the latest version of our software for teaching and learning online and get new ideas you can incorporate into your practice.
