India-based company Nomad joins the global network of Certified Moodle Partners


Today Moodle welcomes Nomad, the latest Certified Moodle Partner in India.

Created by educators with a primary focus in Open Communication and Education Technology, Nomad has been providing open source products and services in India for the last fifteen years. Their mission is to make open technologies accessible to resource-starved communities at an affordable price.

Nomad was founded with the belief that the development of science and technology could be misused if not combined with a deeper understanding of humanity. The organisation stands firmly against the commodification of knowledge and strongly aims to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal #4 of Quality Education.

Nomad focuses on providing technological solutions to K-12 schools serving communities in need. The company also partners with non-profit organisations working towards sustainable livelihood and skill development through informal learning centres.

One of its proudest achievements is running Tamarind Tree School in a tribal hamlet of Western India and has successfully deployed Moodle as a core of its pedagogy.
