With a fresher, more minimalistic interface and contemporary visual style, Moodle App 4.0 enables students to better prioritise and focus on their learning and gives them a smoother, consistent experience across all their learning devices.
Move around more easily
Incorporating the new, simplified navigation of Moodle LMS to display only what’s contextually relevant for users at any given time, Moodle App 4.0 makes it easy for educators and learners to find what they want, when they need it.
In addition, Moodle App 4.0 now helps learners remember and track their progress: when a learner opens their courses from their mobile device, the app automatically takes them to the section of their last accessed activity, so that they can pick up where they left off and continue learning.
Learning optimised for touchscreens
Moodle App 4.0 leverages touchscreens to create a smoother, more intuitive and dynamic user experience on mobile devices by enabling both educators and learners to swipe left and right to navigate course areas with multiple pages, like books, forums or the participants page.
Plus, both learners and educators can navigate back and forth quickly between activities with two new buttons at the reach of your thumb on the bottom bar within the activity page.
Maximise screen space to focus on learning
Moodle App 4.0 enables students to focus on learning by prioritising content: as learners scroll down a course, the app interface gives up space and the learning content takes over the entire screen.
In addition, users can now view H5P interactive activities and SCORM packages in full screen, taking advantage of all space available on a device screen.
Keep your learners updated with personalised notifications
In line with Moodle LMS 4.0, learners can now choose the type of notifications and the channels they receive them through (email, app or in-platform) at a much more granular level, providing a much more personalised experience for each student.
The Moodle App latest release is available with all of our Moodle App plans ranging from free, pro and premium to our ultimate branded Moodle App solution. Each delivers different levels of functionality for a variety of uses and budgets.
Moodle App 4.0 will be available in the App stores in the next few days as we do a progressive roll out during the week for both Android and iOS.
