Moodle and Edu Labs partner to deliver world-class online learning in Colombia

September 6, 2016

Moodle – the world’s open source learning platform – is now working with Edu Labs to offer the best in education technology for schools, universities and businesses in Colombia.

Earlier last week, Moodle welcomed Edu Labs as its latest Moodle Partner, making it the second certified Partner in Colombia.

Together, both organisations will provide certified Moodle services and assist education institutions – such as schools, universities, colleges – and businesses to develop and use a world class learning management system.

Established in 2011, Edu Labs has been providing comprehensive Moodle solutions to government, corporate institutions and the education sector for the last five years.

Their services include Moodle hosting, content design, development, integration, customisation and Moodle training for teachers and administrators.  Edu Labs’ long-term goal is to help bridge the education gap in Colombia by providing education opportunities through open source software such as Moodle.

Juan Gabriel Sáenz, co-founder and CEO of Edu Labs, said: “The partnership between Moodle and Edu Labs is a great opportunity for improvement and growth in the virtual education sector in Colombia.”

“Universities, schools and companies that use, or want to use, Moodle can be confident that they will be the main beneficiaries of this strategic alliance.”

Martin Dougiamas, Founder and CEO of Moodle, reiterated the importance of this new partnership.

“Edu Labs’ obvious passion for making education accessible means that we can work together to continue providing support for existing and new Moodlers in Colombia,” said Dr Dougiamas.

“We’re very excited to welcome Edu Labs as our second Colombian Moodle Partner.”

The Moodle Partner network continues to grow, with this partnership being the fifth in five months. The addition of Edu Labs totals 85 certified Moodle partnerships based in 48 countries worldwide.
