Moodle’s enhanced Certified Integrations program: a trusted ecosystem, built for how you teach

June 30, 2026 By Niamh McCollum

Moodle has always been built on the idea that your learning environment should work the way you need it to. Integrations help you connect Moodle to the tools your learners use, the platforms your organisation runs, and the experiences you want to create.

But with so many third-party tools out there, knowing which ones you can actually trust has never been easy. Which ones will hold up technically? Which ones will work seamlessly with your version of Moodle? Which ones will still be supported a year from now?

That’s why we’re excited to announce Moodle’s enhanced Certified Integrations program  — with a new cohort of tools, a refreshed tier structure, and a stronger commitment than ever to helping you build a learning ecosystem you can rely on.

What the program does

Every integration that earns Moodle Certified status has been put through a rigorous review by Moodle’s own product experts — assessed for quality, security, compatibility, performance, and user experience.

For educators and administrators, that means less time vetting tools and more confidence in the ones you choose. For the providers building those tools, it means visibility, credibility, and access to one of the world’s largest open-source learning communities.

We built this program because we kept hearing the same thing from users — they wanted to extend Moodle but didn’t know where to start or who to trust. Certified Integrations is our answer to that. It’s how we put our name behind the tools we believe in.

Three tiers, built for different needs

Not every integration is at the same stage, and the program reflects that. There are three levels of certification:

Certified Integration — Technically vetted and certified by Moodle, meeting our standards for compatibility, security, and reliability.

Certified Integration Plus — Technically vetted and certified by Moodle, with additional services to help deliver an even better experience.

Certified Integration Premium — Developed by companies with global reach and an extensive deployment track record, delivering the highest level of performance and support through deep technical alignment with Moodle LMS.
