We are delighted to announce the return of MoodleMoot Japan for 2023, taking place in Ibaraki Christian University, on February 15-17.

The not-for-profit Moodle Association of Japan (MAJ) has been organising MoodleMoots since 2008, bringing together educators, researchers, and developers of Moodle LMS. MAJ also publishes an annual journal, the Proceedings of the MoodleMoot Japan Annual Conference, to highlight some of the best contributions to the event.

The Moot, hosted in partnership with Moodle Premium Certified Partner e.learning and Moodle Certified Partner Human Science, is the perfect opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and talented group of Moodle users. Teachers, educational administrators, software developers, and leaders in ed-tech from across Japan will gather to learn, share, and get feedback from the Moodle community.

If you are already a Moodler, the event will provide room for discussion on how to use Moodle effectively as a teaching and research tool. If you are new to Moodle, then this is your chance to learn from hands-on workshops, talking to experienced users and suppliers of Moodle services, on topics such as hosting a Moodle site and creating eLearning materials.

The event will feature a keynote speech from Founder and CEO of Moodle, Martin Dougiamas. There will also be in-depth presentations in English and Japanese from experienced speakers. The presentations will last up to 90 minutes, as well as lightning talks covering bite-size subjects in up to 10 minutes, dedicated sessions and workshops on key topics and electronic posters to highlight the latest research and projects.

It is not too late to submit your proposal and present at the Moot! This is a great opportunity to share what you’ve been working on, learning, or developing with the community.
