New Moodle partner Synapsys delivers end to end learning management solutions across New Zealand

February 15, 2022 By Moodle

From strategy formulation, to bespoke eLearning software solutions, to impact measurement, Synapsys has a long track record of helping organisations across New Zealand create learning ecosystems that deliver real impact.

A strong advocate for open source technology and the Moodle platform, we are pleased to announce Synapsys as Moodle’s newest Certified Service Provider in the partner network.

Synapsys is thrilled to be included in the Moodle certified global partner ecosystem, recognising our expanding contribution to the open source learning platform world. It’s great to be able to contribute back to the learning community. For us, learning has the most impact when the right systems are synched to the right strategy and the right team. Technology should always be the servant of the learner. Having the right platform is key to that value,” says Phil Garing, Managing Director.

Leveraging the power of online learning

Core to the Synapsys approach is leveraging the power of learning to enable organisations or institutions to thrive. Synapsys partners with clients to help formulate their learning strategy, creating clarity about the value of learning in their organisation.

Synapsys builds engaging virtual learning experiences, configures and implements technology solutions and creates tools for learning impact measurement, with a focus on empowering client’s internal teams to own the process.

Garing says, “Our challenge is to be innovative and to continuously rethink how we can deliver compelling learning experiences more effectively. It’s about enabling learners to drive their own learning through social modes of engagement when and where they need it.  Learning must be relevant to people’s jobs so that they choose to carve out time for learning within the flow of work. Delivering effective platforms requires small, granular learning opportunities that are closely linked to upskilling employees and addressing the problem of the day.”

Breaking the educational divide

Synapsys works across both the traditional education and workplace learning sectors and challenges the traditional divide between on-the-job learning and learning offered by education institutions.  Advocates for high-quality online education and instructional design, Synapsys also assist their customers to respond rapidly to the pace of change and deliver learning experiences that provide tangible outcomes – for the learner and the organisation.

Recognising the benefits of Moodle LMS’s grounding in teaching and education, Garing says, “What that means is that learning platforms must provide flexibility in how learners choose to study, and they need to deliver real opportunities to apply their learning. Live and meaningful insights into learner activity and success are now critical to ensuring good learning outcomes. Platforms also need to accommodate a wide range of learning experiences, from purely online through blended experiences to enabling seamless access to face-to-face events.”

A strong track record in online education

Synapsys is currently assisting a New Zealand University to reframe its vision for technology-enabled learning.

They also support several membership-based organisations to expand and refine how they offer learning opportunities, including flexible, credentialed micro-learning opportunities that complement national qualifications.

Synapsys has completed projects for the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment, Z Energy, Department of Internal Affairs, Otago Polytechnic, Toyota New Zealand, Careerforce, Silver Fern Farms, Kiwibank, Canterbury District Health Board and the Pharmaceutical Society of NewZealand to name but a few.
