Here are some of our most frequently asked questions:
We’re the maker of the Moodle software but we don’t run or have access to the thousands of Moodle sites that exist around the world. If you’re trying to access your school or organisation’s Moodle site, please get in touch with the Moodle Admin of your site, or one of your teachers, they will be able to help you, unfortunately we can’t.
We’re sorry you’re having an issue with your site. Since Moodle doesn’t host the site for your organisation, you’ll need to contact your site administrator or hosting provider to obtain assistance.
Our community is here to help. You can ask and find a lot of information on our community forum on how to get started, manage a course, add activities & resources, and discover new features.
If you can’t find the support you need, our network of Certified Moodle Partners can provide a range of services for your Moodle site. This includes hosting, support, training, consultancy, implementation, integrations, customisations, reporting, analytics, and course content creation. You can find a local partner that will help you with your requests.
Please note that if you have a Moodle site on our MoodleCloud; hosting services do not include additional support beyond basic hosting.
The Branded Moodle App allows you to customise the Moodle app with your own brand identity to create a trusted and coherent learning experience. The process of getting our Branded Moodle App takes between 4 to 6 weeks. You can learn more about our Branded Moodle App and contact us to know more about the price.
In the meantime you can learn about mobile customisation in more detail.
It all depends if you’re a student, an administrator or a teacher. We would advise you to review the Moodle App FAQs where you’ll find detailed information on issues you may be experiencing and how to solve them.
Our max file storage means maximum file storage for your entire MoodleCloud site. Here are some things you can do to keep your disk usage low:
- Host files on Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud or other web sites, and then link to them in Moodle using a Resource URL.
- Host your videos on Youtube. Any link to your videos will be automatically and seamlessly embedded in a course in your MoodleCloud site.
- Think about linking/embedding existing websites for your content instead of redeveloping it all from scratch.
- Use Page and Book Resources in Moodle instead of uploading PDFs.
- Keep the quota for individual users down to something low, to encourage small files.
