May 7, 2024 By Barnana Sarkar

Do you want to share your expertise with the Moodle community? At MoodleMoot Global 2024 you will have the opportunity to present your ideas in front of our entire Moodle community.

This year, our theme is Unlocking Human Potential, where we will explore how education is a collaborative journey that continuously evolves beyond conventional boundaries, ultimately affecting every aspect of our lives.

We will focus on different topics that align with our Moodle Product vision while developing our future versions of Moodle. These topics include:

  • Unlocking creativity
    • We strive to empower educators and learners to shape their learning as per their imagination and aspirations, resulting in a more inclusive and personalised educational experience.
  • Facilitating collaboration
    • We will continuously improve Moodle’s ability to integrate and collaborate with other solutions and leverage common standards to enable supportive and connected learning environments.
  • Optimising outcomes
    • Our top priority is to provide our users with effective tools that help them create and manage courses more efficiently while also empowering learners to overcome challenges.

We invite educators, developers, administrators, and learners from all fields to share their findings and ideas and explore best practices for adapting and making learning accessible to all.

Presentation methods

There are four types of presentation methods you can choose from this year:

  • A 15-minute short presentation that encompasses both the talk and the Q&A session (with a recommended breakdown of 10 minutes for the talk and 5 minutes for the Q&A). Proposals should be submitted as abstracts outlining the presentation content.
  • A 30-minute longer presentation, encompassing both the talk and the Q&A session (with a recommended breakdown of 20 minutes for the talk and 10 minutes for Q&A). Proposals should be submitted as abstract texts detailing the presentation’s content.
  • Posters allow presenters to engage with conference attendees during a designated session in the program. Proposals should include an abstract outlining the poster’s content and methodology, with the option to include a link to a draft version. Accepted posters must be printed in A1 size to ensure compatibility and accommodate all submissions. Presenters are responsible for printing their posters.
  • Workshops will vary in duration from 60 to 120 minutes. Proposals should include an abstract outlining the workshop’s topic, dynamics, and objectives. During the workshop sessions, participants will engage in interactive activities, allowing for hands-on experience with various event topics.
