Fresh from finishing our first Learn Moodle MOOC for 2017, we, at Moodle HQ, are excited to announce that we will be running Learn Moodle 3.3 MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), starting on 19 June 2017.

Learn Moodle 3.2 recently finished at the end of January. We had over 4000 people subscribing to the course and received a lot of positive feedback during and after the course.

Many thanks to everyone who participated in Learn Moodle 3.2. We hope that you enjoyed it and found it useful for your learning environments.

If you missed out on our first Moodle MOOC for the year, not to worry! We have now opened up sign up for our Learn Moodle 3.3 MOOC. If you are new to Moodle or want to brush up on how to get the best use of out your Moodle, read on!

A bit about our Learn Moodle MOOC

Learn Moodle MOOC is a 4-week free course where learners explore the many different functionalities in Moodle, such as quizzes, glossaries and assignments and have the chance to create their own practice courses.

Our Learn Moodle MOOC is titled Teaching with Moodle: An introduction.

In Learn Moodle 3.3 MOOC you will also find out how to use the new and exciting features and improvements that will be available in Moodle 3.3.

So if you want to use the Moodle learning platform for teaching, whether it be in a school, a university, a company or just personal interest, come and join us!

What you need to get involved

Learn Moodle MOOC will run for four weeks and will require a commitment of 3 to 4 hours a week.

Moodle’s community educator, Mary Cooch, will demonstrate how features and functionalities in Moodle work and how you can use them to empower your learning environments.

Some activities are also included for participants to complete throughout the course and you can also connect, discuss and seek assistance from all participants in the Learn Moodle forums.

Moodle is a Mozilla Open badges issuer so badges will be awarded for active participation and upon course completion. A certificate of completion is also available.

Please note there are no fees to participate in the Learn Moodle MOOC.

To join Learn Moodle 3.3 MOOC, you will firstly need to sign up at learn.moodle.net.
Closer to the start date of the course on 19 June, you will receive an email reminder and further instructions on what to do to join the MOOC.
