The Moodle App allows students to access the Moodle LMS from their mobile devices. It provides full functionality for learners, enabling them to see their courses, receive notifications of course activity and complete assignments and activities from their smartphones and tablets, even offline. Our Moodle App is open-source, which means that the code is available for any institution to create their own learning app.
This April, we’re introducing our new Moodle App Pro and Premium Plans for organisations, with bigger and more powerful features for mobile learning. While our Moodle App remains free for learners and individuals, organisations can choose the mobile learning plan that best suits their needs:

Make mobile learning more engaging with our Pro and Premium plans
The new Moodle App plans have been designed for medium to large organisations that already use mobile learning extensively, and want to create even better experiences for their students. The new plans offer:
- New expanded notifications with multimedia previews
- More offline courses per device
- More devices receiving notifications per site
- More custom branding options
More features will be coming soon for the Pro and Premium plans, including a new, streamlined onboarding process. Students will be able to find their Moodle site quickly and easily, by either scanning a QR code or through a new Moodle site finder, integrated directly into the app.

Supporting free mobile learning for those who need it most: In pursuit of our mission to help improve the quality of education worldwide, we’ll provide NGOs and Non-Profit Organisations who use Moodle with a Pro or Premium Moodle App Plan for free. Qualifying organisations can send their details, and their site URL to mobile[at]moodle.com and we will get back to you with instructions.
