Join MoodleMoot Philippines online in July

June 14, 2022 By Júlia Verdaguer

From the 27th to the 29th of July, the Filipino Moodle community is getting together online in Southeast Asia’s largest gathering on open educational technology.

Educators thriving amidst the pandemic, adapting to change and learning as one
is the theme of MoodleMoot Philippines 2022. Organised by Moodle Partner Nephila Web, this event brings together open edtech enthusiasts, influencers, and decision-makers.

“We want to show that a pandemic is not a hindrance to everyone to continue learning; instead, it teaches us how to be strong and flexible, especially when it comes to e-learning. More importantly, it shows us the importance for educators from all over the world to connect to one another; and to achieve this, the operative word is openness” says Sheryl Villaroman, Nephila Web CEO and Founder. “We want #MootPH22 to be an open channel where people and organisations from different sectors can share how they were able to overcome the challenges in learning brought about by the pandemic”.

Innovating with Moodle and other open edtech

During the three-day event, the Moodle community of practitioners and users such as educators, trainers, administrators, content owners, developers, and technology researchers will share their experiences, exchange research achievements, and innovative developments on using Moodle Learning Management System (LMS).

MootPH22 will help people gain knowledge about Moodle LMS as an open-source software, putting a special focus on the brand new Moodle 4.0, its features and benefits. As organisations continue to warm up to the use of eLearning technologies in more critical parts of their operations, they’ll share how Moodle has become their primary resource for teaching, training, assessments, examinations; and general management of their learning projects and outcomes.

MoodleMoot Philippines will also provide  the opportunity to network and discuss with a vibrant community of experts ideas and experiences to build together the future of open, universally accessible education.

Learning, sharing and connecting with leading educational organisations

Participants will have the chance to attend live keynotes with local and international experts, full-day workshops, live and pre-recorded sessions and open sessions to facilitate debate, networking and professional development.
