We are thrilled to announce that Moodle App has been selected as a finalist in the category of Educational App of the Year at the Australian Access Awards 2023

The Moodle App offers seamless access to Moodle’s solutions, both online and offline, from any device or location while abiding by the same principles of accessibility as Moodle LMS. The Moodle LMS platform is designed with accessibility in mind, and the development team ensures that every new feature added to the system caters to individuals with disabilities and diverse social and cultural backgrounds. An independent third-party accessibility expert was consulted to verify that Moodle LMS 4.0 complies with the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium (WCAG 2.1 AA). This makes it the most accessible version of Moodle to date.

The Australian Access Awards were established in 2019 on Global Accessibility Awareness Day to honour organisations and individuals who are committed to providing exceptional outcomes for Australians with disabilities. It is an excellent opportunity for experts, policymakers, innovators, academics, community leaders, advocates, and individuals with disabilities to have valuable conversations. Being selected as a finalist not only reflects Moodle’s dedication to accessibility but also adds to the ongoing conversation about facilitating an inclusive educational environment for all.

The award ceremony this year will be held on Wednesday, 22 November, at ANZAC House, Perth, at 5:30 pm (GMT +8).

We wish good luck to our team and looking forward to the final results!
