After the success of their second online MootIEUK in 2021, we are delighted to announce the 2022 UK & Ireland MoodleMoot will take place online from 9th-11th of May this year.
MoodleMoot UK & Ireland 2022 is an online event bringing together diverse and talented Moodle users, educators, workplace trainers, organisations’ personnel, government staff and leading edtech minds from across the world to collaborate and share eLearning ideas.
This year, MootIEUK will be hosted using Zoom, Vimeo and Moodle Workplace. The sessions will be streamed live with real time captions available for every session.
Standard registration is open from now until May 8th. Attendees can purchase a 3 day ticket for €150.
MootIEUK 2022 Programme – what to look forward to?
The programme consists of presentations, workshops, panels and developer sessions which will be streamed live during the three day event.
Attendees will be excited to hear that the MootIEUK22 keynote speaker is Martin Dougiamas, CEO and Founder of Moodle. Martin Dougiamas is looking forward to addressing the functionality and features of Moodle LMS 4.0 for the first time after its official release in April 2022.
Various Irish and UK Certified Moodle Service Providers will be taking part in MootIEUK:
The first of our featured contributors is Catalyst IT, the 2021 Global Moodle Partner of the year. Catalyst will be sharing their secrets for the best way to apply the Moodle system to enhance the learning experience of staff and students.
Brickfield Education Labs will be hosting an accessibility workshop and sharing their top tips for creating accessible Moodle courses. They will also be sharing how to best use their Moodle Certified Integration, the Moodle Accessibility Toolkit.
Now integrated into Moodle core, BigBlueButton creators BlindsideNetworks will discuss with attendees the new features of their plugin in the newly released Moodle LMS 4.0.
After opening their new location in Poland in 2022 – Irish Moodle partner Enovation Solutions will highlight their projects from the past 12 months, including winning Moodle Educator Partner of the Year for 2021.
Besides Moodle Partners, many other edtech experts will participate in #MootIEUK22.
Leaders in the Irish academic sector, the National Institute for Digital Learning in Dublin City University will be showcasing some of their latest projects over the 2021/2022 academic year. These presentations are not to be missed!
Turnitin will also be in attendance, sharing solutions with attendees that promote honesty, consistency, and fairness across all subject areas and Moodle assessment types.
And there’s more… MootIEUK will also be joined by online exam proctoring software Smowltech. Their team will share examples of integrating the Smowl tool to enhance online learning and are looking forward to answering your questions regarding proctoring for online learning.
Social Activities at #MootIEUK22
The MootIEUK team are looking forward to hosting everyone online in May. During the morning tea breaks and at lunch time, attendees are encouraged to network and join the chat on Congregate.live.
To conclude each day, the team will host a variety of activities for attendees to replicate the social aspect of in-person moots.
