When you want to make learning more accessible, engaging and effective, the right tools should take care of the manual work — freeing you to focus on what truly matters to your learners.

For Modern Classrooms, creating responsive, learner-centred experiences is at the heart of everything they do. As an innovative education company, they’re rethinking traditional learning through digital tools and learner-focused approaches.

But as their learner base grew, so did the need for a more efficient way of working. To keep delivering high-quality, engaging courses, educators needed more time and fewer administrative demands. That meant finding an LMS that could automate processes, streamline data synchronisation, and scale alongside their growth.

From manual workarounds to seamless integration

Modern Classrooms relies on Salesforce as its central system for managing learner data and programme information. But keeping it aligned with their Moodle platform was time-consuming and often prone to error.

Educators had to manually report graded quizzes through a form linked to Salesforce, with no real-time visibility. As a workaround, the team regularly downloaded reports from Moodle and uploaded them into Salesforce: a more reliable approach, but still manual, time-intensive and open to mistakes.

Off-the-shelf integration tools couldn’t meet their needs, particularly when it came to syncing quiz results and learner activity. What they needed was a more flexible, dependable solution — one that could automatically keep Moodle and Salesforce in sync, so educators could spend less time on admin and more time supporting learners.

Automating learning data with a tailored solution

To solve these challenges, Modern Classroom partnered with Moodle Certified Integration partner Myddleware to create a custom connection between Salesforce and Moodle.

Now, when a learner is added or updated in Salesforce, their Moodle account is created automatically and they’re enrolled in the right courses — no manual setup, no delays. Quiz results and learner activity flow directly from Moodle into Salesforce in real time, giving educators a clear, up-to-date view of progress without the need for manual uploads or fixes.

By automating these processes, the integration reduces errors, improves efficiency, and gives staff more time to focus on what matters most: creating meaningful learning experiences.

Saving time and simplifying workflows

The impact of the integration has been immediate, not just in efficiency, but in day-to-day peace of mind for the team.

“Myddleware helped us build the integration we needed. Their friendly, fast, and creative approach made the whole process a real success,” says Modern Classrooms’ Vice President of Programs, Megan McGregor. “We love working with their team!”

The impact shows up most clearly in the time the team has gained back. By removing manual processes and keeping data flowing seamlessly between systems, Modern Classroom saves hours of work each week — time they now invest in supporting learners and improving course quality.

Just as importantly, the integration runs quietly in the background. With reliable automation and responsive support, the team no longer worries about data syncing day to day: they trust it to work, and focus their energy where it matters most.

For Modern Classrooms, the results of making an LMS change go beyond efficiency gains — they’ve reshaped how the team works and what they can achieve.

At the same time, data accuracy has improved dramatically, with synchronisation errors between Moodle quizzes and Salesforce reduced by 95%. This level of reliability not only strengthens reporting but also builds confidence in the systems that support everyday learning.

“The adaptability of the Modern Classroom team made our collaboration very smooth,” explains Myddleware’s Project Manager, Lucie Faure. “Their fast feedback allowed us to iterate quickly and be even more creative in designing the workflows.”

Together, these improvements have created a more responsive, resilient foundation — one that supports both immediate needs and future growth.
